Interpreting for politicians

Interpreting for politicians

In our profession, we interpret for all kinds of people, from scientists sharing their latest discovery at a conference to trade union representatives voicing the demands of their colleagues or politicians at the highest level.

Meetings with politicians often involve a protocol that sometimes requires interpreters to arrive at the meeting place earlier than usual and that we cannot receive any documentation beforehand, as confidential matters are being discussed. In some meetings there is a certain amount of tension, as decisions are to be taken on issues of great importance for the region or country in question.

Regardless of whether we agree or disagree with some of their opinions, our job is to faithfully convey what they say, leaving aside our own ideology or personal beliefs.

Our experience could not have been more positive. The politicians for whom we have interpreted at Código Lingua have been friendly, very professional people, who collaborate to ensure that the interpreting goes well and who know how to value a professional service and who even come to the booth to thank you in person for your work.
